simplistic thinking. Just know the government does jack shit on their own. There is a power beyond them that decides what happens.
For 10 years after 9/11 Americans were out spending every penny on flat screens, SUVs, homes they couldn't afford with the wool over their eyes while the super rich became super-duper rich and eventually toppled the system but still left with tonnes of cash.
Here's something to think about. You keep hearing how people are losing money. Just remember, money doesn't dissapear, it just changes hands. So while the common folks are "losing" their money, someone else is taking in that money. The wealth gap is huge that now you have billionaires backing Romney just for the sake of going to war with Iran so they can profit from it. That is what this world's come to.
Laws, rules etc... are to control the common people, not the elite rich.
