« on: August 29, 2012, 08:48:09 PM »
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/u-firms-move-abroad-024200566.html

"Companies cite various reasons for moving, including expanding their operations and their geographic reach. But tax bills remain a primary concern."

"Aon has told analysts it expects to reduce its tax rate, which averaged 28% over the past five years, by five percentage points over time, which could boost profits by about $100 million annually."

Lets raise taxes on the rich, yea that will solve our problems!!! ::)

not at all...to the left the ends justify the means. As long as they feel the "rich" are paying their "fair" share they really dont give a shit about the out come of their actions.

As Ive said for a while now, the left seems to love acting simply for the sake of acting and not taking into account the consequences of their actions.

most millionaires do that.  As long as they don't attach a Cayman islands flag on their fundraising yacht, it's fine.

These are public corporations there cracker jack they are owned by me, you and anyone else who invests in them, not some monopoly looking guy.

They are doing this b/c our tax rates in the US are some of the highest in the world. Maybe if we did something about this you and your ilk could stop bitching about rich ppl who earned their money through hard work and saavy investing.

Then again I doubt that would stop you seeing as your discontent stems from envy and jealousy and that wouldnt do anything to hinder that....

Romney's tax plans
For example, President Obama wants to impose a minimal tax on the overseas profits of U.S. companies to discourage them from moving operations offshore to tax havens. Romney and the Republicans oppose that proposal.
So the United States is virtually certain to have the title of the world's highest corporate rate, at least until after the presidential election.

Wait a second, you think adding a new tax is better than reducing the existing tax to keep companies in America?

Im just thinking out off my ass here but you could put on a tax on products manufactured outside the US if they want to sell them in the US

So a tariff, is this only going to apply to US companies or everybody? Then you have to take into account that the tax is going to be passed on to the consumer. Good become more expensive, in the end the only one who gets screwed is the average joe
