Two month ago she was diagnosed with bowl cancer.
They open her up to operate, pretty much closer her up after one look and said its 100% inoperable.
2 days later she died.
He is left with a five year old child no support from family all dead.

Fucking life sucks sometimes.

Made me love my wife that much more this morning when she hopped on my lap demanding a good morning kiss.
Aren't you the one who posts murder/racists videos?  The one who generally doesn't give a fuck about a strangers life?  Funny when it hits close to home.

Well, there is zero chance that he will go through life without any unhappiness, so what goes around comes around :)

Yawn you are one of the more boring characters on getbig, the once that stereotype everything that cannot see the many difference shades of colors but only see black and white.

In short you are boring, please continue to ignore me, you're too dim to grasp the most in your face sarcasm how would you possibly understand why and what I am posting here.

I found out yesterday my dad has Lung cancer.  It sucks because I know he is scared and I can't do shit about it.  Still a young guy at 63.  I have been reflecting on a lot of shit this past week.

Anything short of a medical procedure you cant do. But you can do other things to support him.

Sorry to hear about your dad.

Sorry to hear this. One thing to note: often the people nearing their end are not so much afraid for themselves, but for those around them. Make sure he knows he has done a good job raising you.

Thanks man.  You to booty and Wes...

I don't think it has sunk in yet for him because it happened so fast. Plus he is a worrier anyway. Now he has heart failure and emphysema we just found out on top of the cancer.  We don't even know what stage cancer is at yet because they have to deal with the heart first and get the fluid off his lungs.  I just hope he doesn't have a long period of suffering.  That is what would suck the most.  I will tell him all of those things but I gotta wait because it would be totally out of character in our family to say things like that.  But yeah  I totally plan to.

Good advice from Phreak and sorry to hear OB43 - My Pops had bowel cancer but pulled through and now heart problems coupled with old age. Hopefully there will be good news on the horizon for you and your family - be strong for him and show him all the love he gave to you whilst bringing you up did not go to waste sort of similar to what Phreak said  :)

That sucks dude, all me best to you and family... My dad would have been 74 yesterday, he died back in '85 at age 47 (I'm now 46) so life pisses by.
Wife and I did a shot of whiskey in his honor last night with my Ma, did some laffing and reflecting...

Support him like you know how, can't do much more than that.

I will add to this...do not scrimp on the time you spend with him...take time off from work if possible.

My parents were emotionaly abusive to me as a child...and I was angry about it.
Looking back I suspect my dad was symptomatic in the time leading up to his dropping dead...he kept trying to reachout, suggesting going on outings that I felt were more suited for a five year old rather than an adult child (things like going "fishing" at a catfish farm.)  I rebuffed many, went on a few, I was angry with him over his attitude towards me over much of my childhood.
I probably should have gone on all the outings he wanted.
