The shape of things to come.

It's good we are still in a time where people can protest against it.

Sounds like a way to get citizens used to having a tracking chip on their ID. If you change the way they think when theyre young, they'll have no problem with it when theyre older.

Had a chip pin school? No big deal to have one on your license.

I full believe that it has begun, ladies and gentlemen.

And licenses can be stolen.  So lets put the chip w/all the info in people's bodies to make things more difficult
"for the criminals."

And "to eliminate cash related crime"
And to eliminate the need to fill out medical/history forms.
And to ease the process of purchasing of goods and services, etc. etc.

Yes, The book of Revelation is actually where I got that from.   What is your opinion on if these RFID chips will ever be used to assist in eliminating cash?

Our currency is fiat anyway so why not. Most people do everything with a debit/credit card. This is the next progression.

Its already happening Stella, if youve ever seen those express pay passes from exxon mobile where you just wave it over a designated area and it automatically debts your account.

Those are RFID chips.

Supposedly big chains like walmart, kroger etc. are trying to move towards RFID tags in each piece of merchandise. There will be a scanner probably right around where you walk in and out of the store that is big enough to walk under with your cart full of items. When you walk through the scanner it will automatically scan all the RFID tags in your cart and debt an account you have on file.

The bad thing about this technology is its cheap and small

yea anything survillence related is booming right now, everybody wants to watch but nobody wants to be watched.

If your technically inclined it would be a good idea to start a business that circumvents these types of things.

Terrifying. I dont like the idea of totally digital money - seems way to hard to keep the banks honest. Fiat paper money is bad enough.. but totally doing away with hard cash just seems like a recipie for disaster.

I dont think the govt will ever force these chips on people.

They'll make it so convenient and easy and rewarding that ppl will line up to pay for them.  :)

Just watched, very interesting but not suprising. I figured half the products out there are probably just as fucked up, but you'll never know about it thanks to media protection.

Fuck that.
I will NOT allow someone to implant an RFID chip into me.
That is where I draw the line.
