R.I.P. to Our Jiu-Jitsu Brother, Michael Clarke Duncan

This week we lost a beloved friend and dedicated jiu-jitsu brother, Michael Clarke Duncan. In July, Michael suffered a myocardial infarction (heart attack), and was being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, but he never fully recovered. Monday morning, he passed away. Michael started training jiu-jitsu at the Gracie Academy in 2005, and even though his acting schedule kept him busy, he always made time to get in his jiu-jitsu lessons when he was in between films. Michael’s warm smile and loving soul brought positive energy into the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We’re going to miss you big Mike.
