(CNSNews.com) -The U.S. government debt, which topped $16 trillion for the first time at the close of business on Friday, now equals approximately $136,260 for every household in the country.

Just since President Barack Obama was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2009, the debt has increased by $45,848 per household—or about 50 percent per household.

As of Friday, the debt was 16,015,769,788,215.80. According to the Census Bureau, there were approximately 117,538,000 households in the country in 2010. Thus, the current debt equals about $136,260 per household.

When President Obama was inaugurated in 2010, the debt was 10,626,877,048,913.08 and has since increased by 5,388,892,739,302.72. That equals an increase of about $45,848 per household.

You know I've been really skeptical about making any predictions on who will win this election. I've said either Obama will win or he will lose with the biggest landslide this country has ever seen. After looking at what's been going on with EVERY possible economic indicator plummeting, Dems retracting statements, playing the race card with everything and flat out general hate, the DNC having to move to a smaller venue so they don't have a 1/2 empty stadium, the national debt hitting $16Trillion THE DAY THE CONVENTION STARTS, etc, etc....I honestly can't see how he would even come close to winning.

I want to hear honest feedback on this from both sides. No rhetoric, Dems on this board, does this scare you?

Anyone know how much the average American household pays annually in taxes?

The saddest part is that guys like StrawDouche say we could afford to spend a few trillion more.

how about you tell me how much of that debt is interest on prior debt accumulated by prior POTUS

if you can't do that then tell me how much of that debt is from extending the Bush Tax cuts

I'd be amazed if you were capable of answering either question

4 straight years of $1+ trillion deficits. Spending as a % of GDP at record highs. Thanks, Barack!

Good thing you've got autistic dick suckers like StrawDouche (who advocate spending TRILLIONS more) to vote for you!

And for those who care about such things, the total debt/GDP is now, assuming the same GDP growth in Q3 as in Q2, at 102%, up from 76.5% when President Obama took office.

Keep up the good work, God-King!

I'm just doing what you do. I've called you out in multiple posts and you don't bother to answer so why should I? You want to act like a bitch-made pussy and then expect everyone to bow down to your beck and call?

Fuck off, you snide little elitist Bay-Area pig.

sorry to break the news to you but I don't spend my time on this board looking for your posts

If you think you've got some major "call out" to me then feel free to post it hear or post a link

It's f'ng HILARIOUS that you're now trying to call me an elitist (aren't you the same moron who tried to mock me for driving an old car)

if you need an example of an elitist take a look at your parties nominee and his VP

Nice diatribe and lies. You must really like to emulate your hero, the Usurper.

Those threads and posts were bumped with you posting around them. You're just a little bitch. And let's be honest, you spend a couple hours on here EVERY DAY.

unlike you I have a job and don't spend much time on this board other than days when I'm sitting  on conference calls.  Most of the time I spend on here is in the evening

I know you're an angry young kid who seems to think this board is somehow "serious" and "real life" but maybe someday you'll grow up and figure out that this board is for entertainment

again - feel free to bump any thread you think you've "called me out" and I'll be glad to take a look it.

I'm sure it's worth at least a few laughs
