Next week is critical in terms of comfort level.   RGIII will be a challenge.

Norv is amazing at surviving as a head coach. He coached the Redskins for 7 seasons and didn't produce one winning season, I don't think.

Nice little cushion if they can win.

He should be an offensive coordinator, not a head coach.

As time goes on there will be more film on him and he'll have to adjust.

Adjust to what?  He's accurate.  Incredibly poised for a rookie.  Can stand in the pocket and run.  Pretty lethal.

If the Redskins find a way to win at least 9 games, there's a strong chance RG3 could win MVP.

Has a rookie ever won it?

Eagles release DE Jason Babin to give younger players more playing time.

Would love the Ravens to sign him. We could definitely use another edge rusher to complement Suggs. Dude had 18 sacks last year.

Beach,

What's your take on Kaep after 2 games now?

What do you think Harbaugh should do?

Very impressed.  Smith didn't do anything to lose his job and was playing extremely well, but I think Harbaugh has to start Kaepernick again.  He's doing everything Smith was doing, plus he can throw the ball down the field and is a dual threat.  That's the missing link that could push the Niners past the NFC title game.

What do you think?

I kind of think the same thing.  Kaep was hitting guys in stride and making big 3rd and long completions.  While alex doesn't deserve to lose his starting job, the point is to win football games.  If he stays with Alex, then alex knows he has a very small margin for error and could be replaced in game sooner than ordinarily warranted.  In any event what ever Harbaugh decides he does have the initial trust and confidence of his players.

My gut tells me he will announce alex as the stater tomorrow.  but who knows.  either way i think we will be fine.

Guarantee Kaep remains the starter for the rest of the season. The kid just has that 'it' factor and the right intangibles to win. It's just too bad Smith lost the job due to injury and not because of performance.

D's will look at what he does best and try to take it away...sophmore slump.

Yeah I think he can't go wrong with either one.  Jerry Rice was on ESPN this morning sort of waffling.  Said Smith should be the starter, but that as a WR he'd rather have Kaepernick throwing him the ball.

He pretty does everything well.  He throws a great deep ball.  He's accurate under 20 yards.  He has great speed.  He's a very difficult match up.  Like Vick without all the turnovers.

He could definitely go through a sophomore slump, although I'm not sure I'd compare him to Cam.  Is Cam really doing much worse than last season?

Well its Kaep like you said.

I am pretty surprised.  But, no guts, no glory.

Sounds like the right decision.

One thing we haven't seen yet is him break one in the regular season.  He's a threat to go the distance any time he gets outside the pocket.  I saw him break a 60 or 70 yard run at Aloha Stadium and I swear he must have only taken ten strides to get there.  He sort of runs like Eric Dickerson.
