And it's definitely not the Patriots either.

The Patriots sure got a reality check, huh?

No disagreement about the Ravens. We stink right now.

Please stink next week too.

Yeah.   Pre season, I had the Giants 10-6 / 9-7.     10-6 looks like a necessity at the moment.

Nice win by the Niners.  Kaepernick going into NE in bad weather and getting the win, throwing 4 TDs, was pretty darn impressive.

I'm just hoping that my Falcons can finally shake the postseason jinx. I grew up in Georgia and was given the cursed franchise as my favorite team by my dad and relatives. Superbowl win would be fantastic, but being a fan now since the early 70's I'm just asking for at least a playoff win or two. Vindication, if you will.

Very impressed by that rookie QB.  Carroll has done an outstanding job too.

hes really improved from the first couple games. I remember after watching the first couple games thinking it was their defence that was gonna win them a lot of games and that the offence with the rookie QB was probably gonna struggle this year. Wilson has improved big time....looks really comfortable out there.
Carroll really seems to have brought a lot of energy to the team

True.  He has turned out to be one of the steals of the draft.  I just hope he sucks on Sunday.   :)

Wilson was the QB here at NC State before leaving for Wisconsin.  Guy was incredible here too, with lackluster talent around him.  He just the "it" factor and stays calm and collected when things fall apart.  By all accounts a great guy off the field too.

The fact he's only 5'11" is impressive too.

Yep.  Third round.  Fifth QB taken.  Luck, RGIII, Weeden, and Osweiler.

And that might be a stretch from what I've heard.  He was a really solid baseball product too, which is what created the situation at NC State as they wanted him to pick football over playing minor league ball.

Yeah players often inflate their measurables, so it would not surprise me if he was shorter than his listed height.

NC State made a pretty dumb decision.

They had another guy who was brought in as a top recruit, but couldn't beat out Wilson.  He will probably go third among QB's coming out this year.

That's a lot of money spent on a player that's riding the pine.

Can't release him either because of the cap hit. He's probably happy as shit making $343,750 per game doing nothing.

lol @ dumb decision to encourage the guy to play on TV almost every Saturday vs playing baseball and never being seen by anyone

It isn't the players who inflate the numbers, though - it's the guys in the sports information department with or without prompting from the coaching staff.

Don't you just love the way the media (and some in football) like to tell 'us' - the fans - that we don't know shit about running a team when we tell 'them' - the football people and media - that it's FUCKING STUPID to give a guy that type of money on the basis of a 1-3 game sample size.

The media was complicit in causing those teams to overpay for Kolb and Flynn.  They were ALL wrong.

Fans win.

The really crazy part about the Wilson thing - apart from his size - is the fact that State now has 2 starting QBs in the NFL.
