The reputation of the US in Europe risks sinking back to Bush-era levels of unpopularity if Mitt Romney becomes president, according to new international polling published on Tuesday.

Only around one in 20 of those surveyed in Britain, France and Germany by YouGov held a positive view of the Republican presidential nominee.

The poll of more than 12,000 people across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and China was prepared for the YouGov-Cambridge forum this week at which the Guardian is a media partner.

The results are a sign that affection for Barack Obama has diminished little since his 2008 speech in Berlin in which he promised to restore America's reputation on the world stage, even though, four years on, Guantánamo remains open and the US is still engaged in military action in Afghanistan.

Who fucking cares what Europe thinks. They should be worrying about their own decaying and bankrupt nation states.

Enough with the left wing propaganda bs. This idiot Obama has already brought us from no.1 to no.7. He's a traitor.

Why should I give two flying fucks about a bankrupt continent that has already siphoned over $2 trillion in free handouts from the Fed?

Europe is no longer relevant. They can't compete economically and they have no military. Our interests align both economically and militarily with those of the Asians (and as polling has shown, most Americans agree).

I like how this little bitch Simple Jack is worried about the opinion of a bunch of bankrupt socialists who are not relevant on the world stage.

This.
This makes me like Romney more, fuck what Europe thinks, I don't give a damn, this isn't a fucking popularity contest. If Romney can fix our problems, he's the man for the job, rest of the world be damned.

That being said, I'm not sure if he can fix our problems, but Europes opinion means fuck all to me. (especially considering the fact that most of western Europe is going bankrupt and falling apart).

Why do you talk politics when you're jobless and autistic? Stick to talking to yourself on your gimmicks, Simple Jack.

Remember when it was all the rage for the media to suck Obama's cock and tell us that he was so cool and awesome and super because Europe likes him, which meant that we, the voters, would be loved?

Brilliant comment-- it has actually inspired me to post a getbig poll.

I have come to the conclusion that the American people (40-50%) have an extremely warped view of the world, impossibly low self esteem and such minimal knowledge on political matters that I truly believe that when given the choice between (a) Living in a nightmarish declining America with high unemployment, high taxes, a bloated and overreaching government with unlimited power, incomprehensible debt, and the destruction of America's unparalleled superiority in the name of "fairness"... While being liked by "the mainstream" the MSM propgandizes, the fraudulent "international community" comprised of 3rd world dictatorships and countries most American's couldn't locate with GPS+ a travel agent and "feeling good" about supporting the first black President in spite of his abysmal record, unrelenting incompetence and anti American /anti capitalist leanings OR (b) Having low unemployment, lower taxes, low gas prices+ energy independence, more personal choice in all aspects of life, a dominant military and no remote equal on the international stage--BUT have the MSM repeatedly tell you that you're a racist, homophobic, extremist and that "opinion polls" show that "other countries" don't like you; I believe almost 50% of Americans would pick choice A.
