IntroductionSynthol is a site enhancement oil used by bodybuilders to boost the cosmetic appearance ofmuscles. Here, we describe the case of a patient with severe side effects following repeatedintramuscular injections of synthol in his right biceps muscle.Case presentationA 29-year-old Middle Eastern male bodybuilder, following intramuscular injections ofsynthol five years ago, presented with painful pressure in his right upper arm. On presentationto our clinic, his muscle appeared disfigured. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed scatteredcystic fatty lesions in the muscle. The affected part was surgically removed andhistopathology showed inflammatory changes with fibrosis and a so-called Swiss cheesepattern.ConclusionSynthol injections that are used for the short-term enhancement of muscle appearance bybodybuilders bear the danger of long-term painful muscle fibrosis and disfigurement

Im not sure if you guys know this but hardly ANYONE uses synthol. You get the same rersult with regular gear.
the extreme cases are mostly seen in underdeveloped countries with low average IQ. like Brazil and middle eastern countries.see example http://www.syntholfreaks.com/it's used to a small extent among competetive more serious bodybuilders aswell. just more discretly.
yeah it's quite obvious it's not good for you. any sane/intelligent person would understand not to inject oil in their bodyparts. who ever said bodybuilders where a smart bunch though lol
