In order of my experiencing them- John Brown:muscular and defined, y'all but not overwhelming at that point 78.  Sergio Oliva (80) - was full dressed, but had perfect arms, tiny waist- not a huge man in clothes- but just radically gifted shape. Dennis Tinnerino (80)  Widest human being I'd ever seen to that point- very broads shoulders, tall, just a giant guy. Dave Draper (80) guest posed- was 235 lbs, fairly ripped. Another giant. Legs were not great though.  Kal Skalak (80) huge arms, big guy. Ray Mentzer (80) even bigger arms- on par with Sergio's. Mike Mentzer (80) arms were pale and softish, kind of squarish but huge. (91-97) long retired, still had the freakiest forearms I'd seen and calves.  Frank Zane - surprisingly big through delts and triceps, tiny waist- in street clothes(unless otherwise noted these all were).  Ok, out of time, still have two decades to go lol.

I have seen a ton of pros back stage at shows or just around town.
Most recent:
Phil heath. Only about 5 ft 7 or so. Not big in clothes but looks good when it all comes off.
Jay Cutler recently not big at all. He has been at shows with phil.
Seth feroce was selling his products at a show and I couldnt believe how wide he was. Nice guy but needs a tan bad.
Shawn Ray back in 88. I trained at Huntington Beach Golds and he lived down the street. Around town in his Porche he looked small but going into the gym before the 88 or 89 Olympia he looked like perfection. His calves were like diamonds and just looked beautiful.
Nasser back stage looked like a bloated cow, kevin levrone in shape but smallish, dillit, freak bad poser, coleman off season looked so bloated then 6 months later won his second Olympia, jim quinn calves were massive, he was massive needed a tan, Flex wheeler, beautiful shape but not huge had his son with him and was very nice. Melvin Anthony right after turning pro, was pumping up back stage and was in awesome shape fantastic posing routine bad gangster attitude with fans. Cormier, embarrising, didnt take off his tank top to pose, looked small and uninterested in being there to pose.
Watched Leo Ingrim turn pro in Cleveland and was wide and had veins all over but NO ABBS AT ALL??? Weird. Frankhouser at the same show got second legs and calves out of this world. Saw him 2 years ago at the North American and looks like 5 ft 6 small cant believe he is a pro in person.
Dearth, small but nice guy, never saw him at his peak.
Diana Dennis at golds HB in 88 and sooo beautiful and nice as can be.
Vince Taylor at the end of his run looked wide, good lines smallish legs good poser nice guy in person.
Old school, chuck Williams. Trained with him a few times at HB Golds, Nice guy, huge back and chest but NO LEGS AT ALL.
Titus right after turning pro in Houston. Was walking into Golds and his legs were incredible. Small in clothes but was in great shape.
King Kamali at the Arnold classic and was walking behind him while he was going to his booth and I must say his back was wide as a house. I was more impressed because I thought he was all hype but he was big for sure.
Jose Raymond at the last Arnold working his booth. Short, 5 ft 5 but big off season. Would love to see him in shape.

yates walked into the crowd in  92 front of the auditorium people were in awe ,he had a leather jacket on and filled it out tight,,,enormous 280 ..leverone was 260 legs for that time were huge unreal...

in jersey,,,huge,,kev lev had won nationals end 91 and posed at 260 smooth but was huge as well,,amazing how lean he got for 92 mro and yates did for the win.

met adorthus cherry a few times.. hes best friends with a guy who owns a nutrition shop that i used to work at.. what has held him back on stage, the torn pec and lack of shredded conditioning, dont diminish his physique in person... dude is real lean year round.. as bigmikecox said, the amazing thing is the size PLUS the conditioning.. adorthus shoulders and triceps are massive.. and he has got a tiny little waist that makes him look real athletic and streamlined.

trained right next to Robby Robinson in 79, he was with a female bb, everytime he move, something contracted and popped...Les Galvin was training legs for the Mr LA which he won...veins running everywhere.

I have seen Boyer Coe, Mike Mentzer, Chris Dickerson posing all close up.
Chris was about 10 feet away. (No Homo) - He looked way different
in person than in mags...way more impressive; it let me know why he
won all those shows in the early 80's.
Also Mohamed Makaway,,  
Lee Haney in very good shape in 1986.
I saw Strydom after he won the heavy USA's and before he won
the Nationals and let me tell you he looked like he did when he won
the 1st WBF contest. 265 and as good of shape as WBF; striated
quads and thick/thick. I guess he was going for extreme definition
as an amateur and lost a lot of muscle getting ready for shows.
Bertil Fox - OK, not nearly as good as Haney but more impressive in person
just by himself. He was coming off the 1983 Olympia and in great shape.
Much like Phil Heath he was a little narrow but his arms were bigger than
his head and his chest was a sight to behold. His back wasn't too bad
back then and his legs were good enough for the time.
Bertil by himself was kind of like Phil Heath of the 80's.
Although some of the bodybuilders mentioned above are technically
better, Bertil was the one where my jaw just dropped. Just huge shoulders,
chest and arms that were striated and separated.
After 1983 Bertil never showed up with that same kind of freaky look
again. I was 17 or 18 and glad I got to see it. His look was Definitely ahead
of that period of time. One thing that hurt him big time much like Dillett; he
couldn't pose worth crap. He could have looked twice as good had he known
how to hit a lot of the poses properly.

Too many to mention.

It's extremely difficult to be very lean and still appear large in clothes. One has to be MONSTROUS. Like A prime-size Coleman or Yates.

I'd say the biggest I have seen in person: Kovacs, Yates (20 pounds above stage weight), Dillett, Francois (THICK and dense) ...

I've met probably about 30-40 pros.. I honestly have talked to Jay Cutler more than many of my family members in the last two years lol. The best was down in South Beach during nationals, seeing Jay with his sexy assistant, at one of the souvenir shops giggling like a little girl when he saw me. He may have been high.

i seen hamdi aykutlug several times, hes considered small, but when you stand next to him, youll find out hes quite thick.
