He had me until some of his comments on where the Republican party wants to go as far as foreign policy. We're not getting into another ground war in the Middle East, we can neither afford, nor do we have the same military to do such things. It will take 10 years or more to rebuild our conventional forces...the COIN effort has bled us dry. We're going to need a whole doctinal shift on what we do...and then train it and support it with the correct vehicles. This all assumes budgets and the will of the American people will follow. Its still pretty interesting.
