every man has to decide for himself if it's right to go fight in a war. Any of us might go, or might saw of our trigger finger to avoid it. Hard to say until we're seeing our friends come home in pine boxes, and suddenly our lottery number gets called. Tough to criticize Romney for not going to fight that war.
Now, he did attend what was at the time the ONLY pro-Draft college rally in the country. Very odd to attend that - and then to frolick on the beaches of France while other american teenagers were getting shot at. That's the only hypocrisy here. People who fight in war are heroes, but I dunno about hating on those who dodged it - what would any of us do in that spot at age 18?
To push for a draft politically - then to dodge it - weak.
