Islam does not repress sexuality it encourages it but within the confines and proper channels of marriage.
So what you're saying is that if you're single, ...your sexuality is surpressed.

Actual suppression of human desires as God intended us does lead to deviance and mentally messed up individuals. A perfect example is that of priests who do not marry. It makes no sense at all and it was not any law of God but a law by the church.
So what you're saying is that if I don't kick 3333 in the nuts, I may become a deviantly mentally messed up person?

J/K 3333... looks like you're on a roll
Like most man-made laws, the church's position on "celibacy" was instituted to provide cover and acceptability for a situation that already existed. A gay man in the closet has to account for why he isn't married. What better way than to join the priesthood. Not only does he now need not marry, ...he's surrounded by men.

Just like the new law they passed saying the practice of rehypothecation (giving "segregated customer funds" away to settle
your own debts) is perfectly legal. It's a new man-made law that keeps Jon Corzine out of jail.
Just like the Patriot Act that says it's OK to jail people indefinitely, ...even kill them based on suspicion alone is perfectly legal.... I could go on, ...but I'm sure you get the picture.
It's funny how people's opinions on a subject change real quick isn't it. I mean, one day people were saying how great it was that the US government could do this to someone named Achmed, ...but as soon as those same laws championed previously begin applying to Joe six-pack, ...it's a whole nother story.
