Stop making me laugh. Have you seen the crap that passes for network tv shows these days. The writing is terrible, and the acting is worse. Hell, I'd rather watch All In The Family, Three's Company, and Diff Strokes than watch these shows on now (except for ABC Sunday nights).
I wouldn't know because I generally don't watch network television. However, I have seen Modern Family a couple of times and find it about as relevant to life today as I did All in The Family and Three's Company, neither of which I watched that much either.
If I want to watch television, I will watch something on PBS or Netflix before I'll watch one of the Network shows. Downton Abbey is pretty entertaining as it Doc Martin. I also like watching documentaries and biographies.
Some of the premium channel shows, such as The Big C and Nurse Jackie are worth watching too, in my opinion. I grew tired watching of Dexter and Weeds. I just saw where season 4 of Damages is on Netflix.
