Yes I ran the whole fuking way. If I were to stop running and start walking that would have been it. I probably actually lost time trying to run up some of the last hills - had to slog. It was a trail race 1/2 marathon so some of that shit was pretty steep. It was just one of those goals I wanted to reach.
I am not a runner so after stepping up to that kind of distance my knees were really starting to hurt, a good 1/2 hr to 45 minute run is plenty for me any more and is not really painful.
I got into running when I was shooting rifles competitively and just kind of enjoyed the trail stuff, I built a 3K course through the woods here on our land, makes it fun - except for the hills.
