Considered it.  Libertarians are often closeted Republicans.   For me, the juries still out.

voting for anyone other than one of the two candidates who best resembles your view on policy is as good as voting for the other one.

perot ensured clinton would win as ron paul would ensure obama would win.  people still don't get this.

Often times they run on their ticket to get elected.  What have we got to lose?

you gotta start somewhere.

it doesn't work wiggs.. you just end up benefiting the side you're against.

starting somewhere means slowly changing the fight to be between the guy you support and the guy who was the lesser evil.  that won't happen until the greater evil is off the table.

Well, prostitution has gone up at the casinos (and outside the casinos).

It's funny that you mention him today.  I had a discussion about him with a friend last night who will be voting for him.   I've just begun to research him and I must admit, I don't know everything about him yet. I've been seeing his commercials on Hulu all day as well.  From what I've read so far, we agree on a great many things.

My man concern with Libertarians is their desire to privatize ever damn thing without consideration of the possible repercussions.  In my mind they are simply exchanging governmental corruption for corporate corruption.  He's an interesting candidate and from what I read I prefer him over someone like Ron Paul.  Paul to often comes off as an ill-informed senile old fool who's time is clearly over.

the gazette claimed the only measurable effects on crime in the first few months were limited to a few thefts, assaults, and drunk driving going up.  prostitution can be hard to nail down in a place like that.  amills has gone to shit in the last few years anyway.  sucks because my parents still live over there and traffic makes me want to beat someone's ass, get drunk, then drive home seething with road rage ;D

I thought about joining the Libertarian Party when I first voted in 1980. At that time, I found their isolationist views to be outside the best interests of the US.  I do however, like their views on individual freedom and liberty...Ultimately, they're too much of a fringe party to get my vote....

The gazette doesn't see the arrests, especially from out of state.
They also want to present an image that there is very little crime in that area and AA county in general. If they reported the arrests that happen in Brooklyn Park, GB, Pasadena, Edgewater, Annapolis,  Pioneer City-Severn, people would be in an uproar...especially the thefts at Arundel Mills and Annapolis mall.
Same goes for Howard Co with Columbia.

People may think they are voting but in reality the choice was already made by the puppet masters. What good is having a choice between 2 people if it will still result in the same old shit. There are a number of other parties besides the Ass or the elephant in the room. I doubt many people know what they are and what they're platforms are

I agree with the Libertarian view on civil liberties and freedom and also in regards to decentralisation of government power with more local autonomy and direct democracy.

the EXACT reason nothing gets done about north county crime.. nailed it.  and, in my experience, AA county police are the worst i've ever dealt with.  incompetent, careless, undermanned and underfunded.
