In all seriousness, I wouldn't be surprised if he secretly hates and resents her. She is the product. She is the one getting the hits, views , and mega-page threads. Possibly. May also be that he's trying to live vicariously through her. He knows he'll never amount to anything, she's partially in the limelight of the lifting scene, it's all he has to be on the fringe.
