Anyone who would beat a dog is mentally off.  I can see shooting a dog, that's humane, but beating a dog is not.
Pity Dogs don't feel the same way about humans.

What if the person was a psychopathic serial child killer, and the dog was a rescue-assistance animal?

Not trying to argue, but it would be interesting to see your reply.

Is this one of those "gotcha" things?

Of course the rescue/assistance animal is benefitting society and the serial child killer is scum, but you're just trying to pick nits about my statement.

That's not the point. The point is how he didn't hurt a human... he hurt an animal.

He was held to a more harsh standard of punishment than people who have committed injury and DEATH to OTHER humans.

That's the point.

What kind of moron brings pedophilia into this discussion?

::)

Wasn't he running an illegal gambling ring? Hell, people are doing a hell of a lot more time in jail than Vick did for evading taxes. Most get 2 years min. on tax evasion. Vick only did 23 months in Jail. If the IRS could have gotten more on the financial side of it, Vick could have easily done 5 years.

I also agree... completely ridiculous.
