A-Rod’s hitting stinks, but there’s nothing wrong with his eyes — he managed to pick out a bikini model to flirt with during last Saturday’s playoff game at Yankee Stadium.

Slumping slugger Alex Rodriguez zeroed in on fan Kyna Treacy, a leggy 33-year-old, in the ninth inning of his team’s crucial playoff game against the Detroit Tigers, openly flirting with her and getting her phone number even as he was yanked from the lineup and the Bombers struggled to stay alive.

PHOTO: See a pic of the women with A-Rod's gifts at The Post.

Treacy — a sexy catwalker who started her own swimwear line, Kini Bikini, which specializes in tiny crocheted suits — was sitting two rows behind the dugout with pretty pal Kate Quinn, friends of the women told The Post. Both Aussies currently live in the city, one pal said.

A-Rod got Treacy’s phone number after having a ball passed to her with a note — and he hit a “homer.”

Treacy is a former Bondi Beach girl who says in an online business profile that she has strived to create swimwear “for the girl who desires something sexy and individual.” She paid for her degree in graphic design by modeling, she said.

Neither she nor Quinn could be reached by The Post on Tuesday. A-Rod had no comment.

Perhaps that's because he's currently linked to former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson?

Wilson, who was ranked the 43rd sexiest woman in the world by FHM magazine in 2007, and the fading baseball star have been a rumored couple since December 2011. FOXNews.com reached out to Wilson for comment, but after a few e-mail exchanges, the former Playboy Playmate decided to pass.

Considering how much he's worth and what he looks like, he gets busted broads.  He needs to learn from Jeter.

That happens all year long but this particular time, to get people's attention away from A-RoD fiasco/debacle/26 mil per year aint doing shit from preventing the Yankees  on going on route of Extinction.

You think that If the Yankees were one game away from going to World series,....Yahoo's top news" would be A Rod hitting on chicks in stands?  really?

Goes to show you that The Yankees and MLB baseball and what goes /make the news  are the same thing.

None of the Yanks are hitting. Granderson and Swisher are in just as bad of slumps. The Yankees are od. They need to blow that thing up and start over, but they wont.

Actually, they don't.   What you're seeing is just a flukey, bizarre run of bad luck and timing by a collective group of players.   And, despite this collective shitstorm on offense, the pitching has been stellar, and if not for two stupid defensive plays and bad calls, the Yankees could easily be up 2-1.

At team that led baseball in runs scored, 2nd in run differentials, etc. need tweaks, not an overhaul.

When you spend that kind of money EVERY YEAR and you do not win it all, you have wasted your money.

New York Yankees    $ 197,962,289    $ 6,186,321    $ 1,937,500    $ 7,938,987
Philadelphia Phillies    $ 174,538,938    $ 5,817,964    $ 1,875,000    $ 6,833,158
Boston Red Sox    $ 173,186,617    $ 5,093,724    $ 1,556,250    $ 6,311,421
Los Angeles Angels    $ 154,485,166    $ 5,327,074    $ 3,150,000    $ 6,212,772
Detroit Tigers    $ 132,300,000    $ 4,562,068    $ 1,100,000    $ 6,557,916
Texas Rangers    $ 120,510,974    $ 4,635,037    $ 3,437,500    $ 4,728,330
Miami Marlins    $ 118,078,000    $ 4,373,259    $ 1,500,000    $ 5,228,424
San Francisco Giants    $ 117,620,683    $ 3,920,689    $ 1,275,000    $ 5,296,153
St. Louis Cardinals    $ 110,300,862    $ 3,939,316    $ 800,000    $ 4,858,52

Which of these teams is going to win it?

Exactly.

That's not really relevant to my post but, no, you haven't.  Baseball doesn't work like that.   In a sport where the elite fail 60% of the time, and sample size is such a major factor, the math will prevent winning year in year out.

IF  the yankees won every year if it was possible how would that look,be fair?just the idea getting to where they are every yr 1st and 2nd round is impressive.like grape said dealing with avg's,wins/loss/stats .they beat up mediocre pitching every yr in and out but fact is there division is getting stronger now with orioles stepping up/rays strong pitching.

From a financial perspective, they fail.

That's why old Georgie was so hard on his Managers

I do understand that... but again, if you spend that kind of money YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR and you ONLY win it all twice in a decade... Well... That's just bad money spending.

No, it's baseball reality.

In the last 18 seasons, they've made the postseason SEVENTEEN times, won 5 WS, been to 7, won almost all division titles and make a shit ton of cash while increasing the value of the franchise exponentially.

Nobody's close.
