I think the tea party could have helped the GOP a great deal but that's not the way it played out.  We saw what the tea party was when Obama got elected and 90 percent of it at that time would have been behind Ron Paul.  And yes, they were organizing then, many of them coming from the Paul movement.  Paul was the first to organize a tea party event and it started from that.  Then well after the election in 08 we saw a massive attempt from other interests to take over the tea party and that happended so fast it was retarded.  Several people saw that shit happening and posted on it but it didn't matter, nobody gave a shit and the tea party transformed into some kind of religeous American apple pie crap with Sara Palin and Glenn Beck for heros of the movement  The Tea Party today is no different than the GOP and that's what the people who took it over wanted.  Sad shit.
