DVDs for learning the basics without a boxing club?

Im thinking about picking this up, I want to start learning the basics but I can't find a decent boxing club where I'm currently living. (Kind of out in the sticks)

Would this be acceptable to start learning the basics, or should I just wait until I move further south and can find a decent gym?

it hard to pick up anything off DVD's,, why not join your local boxing gym? REAL boxing gyms are hard to find nowadays since most are now MMA shit.... But they are cheap, some are like $15 a month

Thats the problem, I moved out of Houston back to my hometown for my son to be born, and there is NO decent boxing gym's here. Nothing whatsoever. Im currently trying to find a job further down south so I can get out of this shithole, but I was hoping to learn something in the meantime. I know DVD's suck, but there is no better option at the moment, and I was wondering how credible something with Roach teaching would be.
