I agree Hagler vs Hearns is the best round in history !
Hearns and Hagler were in their prime, Hearns is the greatest superwelterweight in history and Hagler is the second greatest middleweight  in history second only to Ray Sugar Robinson who is the greatest p4p boxer, welterweight and middleweight of all time.

This man could have become one of the greatest middleweight in history if did not had a blood clot exploding in his brain! Sad
Gerald "The G-Man" McClellan
31-3
29 KO (23 KO in the first round)
94% Knock Out

Grebb, Langford, Fitzsimmons, Burley? Are all up there.

Hopkins dominated an era of absolute mediocrity!
Remember that Hopkins was losing against De La Hoya until Oscar took a dive!
The only good middleweight Hopkins fought at the time was Roy Jones Jr. (another overrated boxer who dominated during an era of absolute mediocrity, by the way Roy Jones lost to Gerald McClellan as amateur) and lost against Roy Jones Jr.
Hopkins=Klitshko : decent boxers who dominated during mediocrity!

Yeah he was pretty badass. I was in the crowd for his first fight with Julian Jackson at Thomas & Mack.  Crazy fucking card..Chavez, Lennox Lewis and Camacho all fought that night.

Roy could have fought Gerald in the pros too but was scared out of his mind. He liked to fight garbage men and cops instead. HBO didn't care.

That Round 10 with Bowe and Holyfeild was Awesome, how in the hell Holyfeild not only survived that Uppercut from hell and the round and actually came back is a Testament to his Fighting Mentality long before he fought Tyson Lewis and others one of the biggest Hearts in Heavyweight boxing back then very very few 200lb boxers can take that sort of Devastating power from Legit Heavyweights like Tyson, Bowe, Mercer, Foreman, Lewis etc

Fighters used to say getting hit by one of Foreman's hooks was like getting hit by a tree trunk.

Great vids.

Great thread!  The corrales round 10 is the greatest round of boxing I've ever seen! Something about someone getting their ass kicked, and then coming back to win is sick as fuck!  Freaking love it!
I saw another clip years ago of a guy that was losing the fight, and right before the last round his corner man says to him "you gotta knock him out to win".  Dude walks out there and damn near decapitates his opponent in the first few seconds of the last round.  Any clue what fight this was?

great thread Che

here are some other amazing rounds i'd have on that list

Holmes v norton round 15- incredible toe to toe action for nearly 3 minutes with both guys exhausted

Holmes v Witherspoon Round 7- Terrible Tim has Larry in serious serious trouble but the great champ rallies somehow

Holmes is def in my top 10 heavy's of all time and possibly top 5, very very underrated fighter

In defense of Norton he was a shot fighter by the time he fought Holmes. Larry Holmes got a raw deal in that he never got the credit he deserved. He ducked no one.

what about british fighters eubank or benn

Both of them rank as the best supermiddleweight in history !
All time greats , but not really middleweight.
A supermiddleweight is 168 pounds and should never be compared to a true middleweight (160 pounds).
Infact a supermiddleweight is basically a lighter version of light heavyweight (175 pounds) and used to be in the same weight class of Light Heavyweight , before boxing changed from the original 8 weight class to the ridicolous 17 weight class we have today in boxing!

Hagler was a beast, I can remember watching him on HBO as a teen with my dad on Friday night fights. To bad boxing packed it in his ass over the sugar ray fight.
