The reason she gave me for actually participating: she wanted to prove to her ex-BF (but to the whole world as well) that she isn't an "ugly troll" (own words). I don't know if this common among women (not that interested in their psyches) but she needs constant validation. Like one picture posted on FB that doesn't get a single like, she goes berzerk.

Yes, mental problems like the ones I mentioned are common place among women.

They generally think way too much of themselves (case in point: entering a beauty pageant as an ugly troll) and flip out when criticized.

Basically man's fault for always sucking up to them. Their view of themselves is unrealistic in a lot of cases.
