-Numerous failed business ventures. Swollen Monkey, Alpha Helix, Beatz by Jay.
-Housing market in Las Vegas is the worst in the entire country. Real estate in Vegas is only worth a fraction of what it was a few years ago. Jay invested heavily in Vegas real estate before the mortgage crisis.
-His Max Muscle store was bleeding money, and actually costed him money to stay open. A friend took it off his hands for a fraction of what he paid for it.
-Lost his bread winner sponsorship with Muscletech.
-Guest posing appearances are way down since his injury.
-No more Olympia prize money.
-Overhead; car insurance on exotics alone is very expensive. Taxes, ect
