invest in voting machines?

Regardless of your affiliation, you have to admit it's rotten as all get out.

I don't drink, and the point I am making is that the government as a whole is corrupt.

Is that pertinent to the outcome of a presidential election?

I would rather not get started on the war that could be brewed from the avenue you're approaching.

Cheney and Haliburton and all that.

That's not really where I want this thread to go.

Just wondering about your opinion on voting machines.

What do you think?

I agree with your point.

But there is corruption and there is corruption.

Fixing an election is a bit more troublesome than lets say insider trading

Conflict of interest.

So, no, they shouldn't be allowed. But then how big his the family members investment? Is it just stock? Bonds? How much of each? Do they have a seat on the board?

If it was anything else I would say those things need to be taken into account, but it is the election to the highest office in the land...so I say no.

Same goes for Congressmen who are invested in the body scanners and such. All conflicts of interest. Really, this goes to what our leaders should be able to do while in office.

Invest?  Yes...have a controlling interest or a seat on the board?  No.
