The currency drop is largely a result of their own idiotic attempt to open currency exchange centers that sparked currency fears.

The military comment is kind of laughable considering their ballistic missile tech has never been better.

Fury nailed the currency point.
Their economy has always been in shambles.
Their military has been in a decrepit state ever since the Revolution and especially after the Iran-Iraq War.
