There is a false perception that we as Bodybuilders are a short bunch, overcompensating with "genetics in a bottle". Certainly there are a few athletes here that seem to confirm that stereotype: Groink, The Coach, mesomorph, go4it... And I admire the dedication of these athletes. The "100 pct hard work" they put in coupled with the moracle of "genetics in a bottle" makes them feel like whole real men. But these athletes represent a small portion of the membership here, so I call on other dedicated athletes to post your heights! Groink and crew might be the most prolific with posting pics, but we can't let these shorties skew the perception! And actually I am a strength athlete, but I consider Bodybuilders part of the 'family'. So I'll go first:

-Shrunk now to 5'10". I was a shade under 6' when I was 18 years old. I think it sucks that our spines compress as we age and that we tend to gain weight at the same time. I envy Johnny Falcon his height.
Maybe I should buy a rack and put myself on it for several hours a day. LOL!

Prime, because you were a victim of Father Time and not genetics, you are still an honorary member of Team 6 foot +. Additionally, anyone in the 5'10-5'11" range might also be considered honorary members of Team 6 foot + if they demonstrate conviction and dedication to the cause of 'calling out' known pic whoring dwarves. |

I appreciate your thoughful words. My father was 6'6" and my mom was 5'8". You'd think I would have ended up being taller. For some reason I pretty much stopped adding height by the time I was 16 years old. Our family doctor put me on steriods to help me gain weight. Who knows, maybe these stunted my growth. |
