Stop whining and take control of your life.  I do not know how old you are but remember that choices have consequences; you can choose to work hard in school, for example, and get a good education... higher education... etc. or you can choose to goof off, get nothing out of it and conclude that college was a waste of time and unnecessary.  You can choose to seek out networks and mentors and be a good protégé or you can choose to think that you know it all and don't need a patron of any sort.  You can choose to save your money, invest wisely, and reap the rewards or you can fritter away your income and wonder why you can't get ahead.  You can go for substance and choose to pair  up with someone who also has good values and a future orientation or you can go for style and partner with someone superficial who will make nothing of her/himself and not challenge you to be your best in life.

Even as you wonder why you can't get ahead, remember that thousands of immigrants come to the US every year with nothing more than the clothes on their backs and barely speaking English yet they still manage to make something of themselves.  They know what real want and deprivation is; that has given them a drive to succeed.  Maybe you need some of that.

It's all about choices.

Most people have to work real hard to get rich, and its not something that is just done over night. First of all, choose an occupation that will result in good income, and more importantly a buisness that allows you to continusly making progress, and by doing so increasing your income. Studying is not a must, but its the way for a lot of good job uppertunities out there. You could always work yourself down form the bottom up to the top. A lot of successfull people have done this.

What really makes someone rich and successfull is their talent! That is if you HAVE any talent. Because if you do, and your working really hard to improve on your talent, success is guranteed in the future. You might be a terrific singer, a good athlete, a superior actor and so on...

Other than that, some people are just born into wealthy homes and take off from their parents buisness and richness like for example, Donald Trumps kids... In other words, people are just lucky!
