Crumbs under your keyboard
« on: October 28, 2012, 11:35:05 AM »
Anyone know how to get rid of crumbs from under your keyboard?
...at least I think that may be what it is. I've got something stuck under my "w" key and it's driving me nuts cause every time I go to depress the key, it results in a typo.

Pull the key off, and get the vaccuum cleaner.

pull off a post it, and put it between your keypads. The sticky stuff will remove the crumbs.

Just suck really hard over the affected keys.  Your post history indicates that you'll have more than enough sucking power to dislodge any debris that isn't securely fastened.

If you swallow a key, you can even pay your doctor in gold doubloons when you get it removed.

You must have some large crumbs to cause a typo.

Hey asshole, haven't you heard? I live in Canada. We enjoy Universal Health Care.

When we go to the doctor, we don't have to pay anything... AT ALL!

...and if I did swallow anything, I wouldn't have to go to the doctor to get it removed.
I could simply wait a fe hours and doison it out!

I've smashed down on the key so hard, so many times that if it were crumbs, surely they would have been pulverized by now? It's been too persistent for far too long, I'm beginning to think it might be something else instead lodged in there.

LOL, The only thing FAT about me is my bankaccount. I'll have you know I'm 110lbs soaking wet.  :P

I don't bother with such cleaning. As a result, there's a colony of some mutated life form or other under my very keystrokes. I've attempted to establish diplomatic relations but they/it haven't responded.

It's probably easier to get a new keyboard.

The doctors work for free??

And see what getting things for nothing has caused?  You can't even be self dependent enough to shake crumbs out of something.  Maybe there needs to be a government funded program for things like removing the TV remote from under couch cushions and things that have slid just out of arms reach under the bed...I'm guessing "crumb removal" would be covered as well.

And then knock on the back of the keyboard a little.

I can get the crumbs out of my desktop keyboard no problem. It's the laptop that gives me issues.

If there was a gov't program for finding remote controls, I'd be so on that like white on rice. I can't find the remote control for my TV and... well, let's just say, I'm not switching channels much these days.  :-[  I've got the laptop perpetually displayed on the TV. It's not that I'm too lazy to get up & switch channels, it's that its one of those SMART TVs, ...and the darned thing is smarter than me. The only thing I know how to do without the remote, is turn it on & off.  :-[
