Ronnie Colemanīs DEFEAT - 2002 Mr. Olympia.
« on: October 31, 2012, 07:41:26 PM »
Just finished watching 2002 Mr. Olympia and saw Ronnie in unusual position..

He was scared like little child before they announced Kevin "3M" Levrone as 2nd place.

He knew that he was off at this olympia.

Gunther was crowds favourite with Levrone.

This time it was not "Ronnie" "Ronnie!" after announcement.

This time it was "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Biggest shitstorm at the olympia along with Nasser taking 3rd place at the 1996 mr olympia.

He lost this show, he know that he was defeated and came biggest and best next year.

Video 2002 Mr. Olympia.

Its funny, bc even when ronnie is not at his best, he still looks better than so many others. i am not saying he should have won this. I am saying that even if he does win being slightly off, its not as bad when other competitors are off. I guess he is that much a of a freak in terms of his physique.

Not even that good.  Most ripped sprinters I know have much better separation and detail than Kevin did that year.

What happened to his lower body, anyway?  He had some of the best wheels around, even as "late" as 1999 IIRC.  Then, BAM, no leg Kev from 2000 onward.  There's no question it cost him the show in 2002.

I recall reading that he injured his back and couldn't do squats any more

Ronnie was still strong where Kevin was in relation weak, (Legs and back).
Ronnie was a ripped 275 2 weeks out in the BFTO DVD and should have
just dried out for an easy win.
The real winner of that contest was Gunter. Check out his posing routine.
He was dang near perfect for him- waist down - wide as a house - ripped, separated/striated
and every bodypart was strong.
Kinda like Samir hitting it that one time in 1983 - Gunter was the best that night
but no where near as good as Ronnie was 2 weeks out.

Injury making it so that he couldn't train his lower body the way he wanted to.
