On a positive note, it is good to see some Getbiggers actually showing a bit of concern and sympathy toward Derek. He may have contributed to his own illness through his lifestyle choices, but he's not in some exclusive club in this respect. Most of us have made bad choices at one time or another and most of us who have, survive them.

If Derek is unconscious, he isn't seeing these candles. Lighting a candle for him is more for his family and friends at this point. It may seem a corny thing to do to you and that's your prerogative. At least you've wished him the best and that's a nice thing to do.

I be the first to feel bad for anybody if they were sick without any wrong doings, but Derek has insulted and assaulted his body years and years and years - he shot any warning in the wind couldn't give a shit EVEN laughed at some people that meant well.
As much as I don't want him to be dead or do bad (I am not that person anymore) I feel very little compassion towards him.
