Someone posted a link here detailing US falling outside the top 10 countries in the world, the top 10 all have very strong social policies, the top 3 are practically communist countries disguised as Capitalists. Norway and Sweden takes the top 2 spots. Ever been there? I have, I've lived or studied in both at some points. I've also lived in the States for a very short time and have visited countless times. Scandinavia knocks the spots off US for living standards. And they're Socialists. Explain it to me Coach.

I wasn't taxed 50% when I done contract work in Sweden for a Swedish cellular company? I know for a FACT that middle management working for MTG and MILLICOM, both Swedish companies, don't get taxed 50%. Not even 40%. In fact, when I was earning more at my previous company here in the UK, I was taxed more than 40%. Tax rates are high in Scandi, just not as high as people pretend it to be.

Also, you're always going to have parasites in any country and population. What do you proposed are done with them? Seriously now. Jobs increased, defecits reduced and the economy is growing. Those are good reasons, when you compare that to bush and those republican ideals that caused record spending, and really a worldwide recession I think voting mittens is pretty stupid. Sweden is very capitalist when it comes to controlling their private sector in terms of regulations and what not. Moreso than the US of late, hence their economic success. They're also a homogenous society that encourages working. However, they have the largest growth in income inequality over the last 20 years. Ironically, 20 years ago Sweden's socialist economy was in shambles and it was only when they adopted more capitalist policies that they became a successful country.

Norway has a small population and some of the largest oil reserves in the world so it's obvious why they're prosperous.
