I have more but I'd like to hear some of your ideas.
He'll probably try to push some misguided ban on "assault weapons" legislation, which is complete horseshit. Anyone with a little money can modify an AK or AR to go fully auto. And if those rifles are banned, they'll still be available on the black market.
Ironically, if he does do anything about legalizing grass, he'll probably push equally hard to crack down even more on tobacco. I don't smoke, but I'm sick of the way the pendulum's swung from blue-air movie theatres and people smoking literally EVERYWHERE to smokers being ejected from apartment complexes because neighbors complained about the smell.
Pot smells far more foul to me than any burned tobacco, including cigars; and for the people who claim pot isn't addictive, well ... go fuck yourself in the eye with a large nail. I have family members, friends and friends of friends who simply cannot
function unless they smoke a shitload of pot at least 3-5 times daily. Smoked tobacco, especially cigs, are certainly at least as, and probably even more, addictive. OTOH, at least cigarettes, pipes and cigars don't impair someone's judgment to the point that positing the wrinkles in one's own hand as a "micro-study of the universe," followed by long periods of awkward silence, is actually an _improvement_ on the average pot user's thought processes.
And that's to say nothing of chronic use. You know the type. They toke up all day and all night. And they're utterly fucking worthless. As the REAL Dan Duchaine once said, it's a great drug ... if you want to be lazy and stupid.
Medicinal use is different. For some, pot consumption is a great drug. But let's not fucking pretend it's some miracle without consequences.
