I don't care if Petraeus did have an affair, he was still an effective leader.

A great loss for America IMO.

Stanley A. McChrystal is about 10 times harder than Patraeus, Patreus is an opportunies and has fainted lololo fainted in a hearing.

McCrystal spend most of his time with his men at the frontline so the story goes

McCrystal - fitness freak, ex special forces etc etc etc.

He told the truth you dick gobbler, he wasn't afraid to talk his mind because he actually had some feelings for the troops he was leading - THAT you dumb guy is a great leader, not somebody like Patraeus who does anything just to propel himself a bit further up command chain.

If you cannot see that than go fuck yourself.

Obvious cover story is obvious.  Someone's head had to roll for the Benghazi shit and he just happened to be the one.  Affair my ass.

Love this guy.

CIA Director David Petraeus resigns, citing an extramarital affair as his reason. The homewrecker is his biographer, Paula Broadwell. What was the title of her biography? ALL IN;D

I think it's the other way around.

Petraeus is the one guy who would "betray" the Obama administration and drop the truth on the Congressional investigators, under oath.  Now that probably will not happen since he'll be outside the CIA.

It's just a coincidence that it all happened a week before the hearings would continue and subpoena the govt's witnesses.

just a coincidence.....

He's been ruffling feathers in his term there already and it's well known he isn't exactly liked by all.  I'm not saying about a cover up, as there's already enough flack going around at the hint of something happening and commenting on if one happened or not would only be speculation.  In order to create a perception that something is being done, someone must step down.  Since he wasn't fitting in, it makes the most sense.

Simply a coincidence that it came out right after the election to avoid any political repercussions.

Simply a coincidence that the Obama admin. didn't trust Petaeous, and did not want him to testify, since they cannot control him.

all just coincidences.

that this shit came out after the elections is obviously no coincidence but

- why would obama want it to happen now- he has the spot light -petraeuaus could be gotten rid off in a week just as easily if obama has the juice for it

-why the fuck is petrause taking it lying down as a biatch?

now i am sure you can search your sources and come back with some answers for these questions. that is what i want to read- so that i can understand how far are u willing to suspend ur brain in order to confirm your pre conceived ideas

Obama always has the "spotlight"  Obama wanted to be sure he still had a job.

The Petaeus issue could have caused political damage because it opened up Benghazi.  Yes, obama really wanted to talk about Benghazi 3 weeks ago.....

that book title was probably a brilliant inside joke between them :)

all kidding aside, those who are rich/powerful who have it all but are married... it must bug them that there are 18 year old kids with no job who are sleeping with 3-4 hot random girls each week.   All the money and power in the world, but that RUSH that comes with the new hookup, they miss that.

Had to be.
In ALL IN, Broadwell relates that Petraeus rarely consents to a withdrawal because he finds "pulling out" unsatifactory. ;D

Lol......looking at Petraeus's fall from a Man's perspective, you can't blame it....we don't what was going on in his marriage.....he probably was miserable or a lot of other factors....if I was in his shoes, I would end up the same way or worse...I just hope when I say I do at the altar, it will be forever, but I can't guarenty that..... ;)
