do you just say "fuck it" and not sign the new contract at the risk of being out of a job for a few weeks?

or sign new contract at the risk of being able to get your new job but being tied down by your new 6 month contract?

my contract expires 15th november

what is funny about that?

they give temporary contracts for the first 3 years

company policy

Not funny, just a bit unlikely that temps would get promotions

In fact I don't think it makes sense from an organisational perspective

and btw sounds like a slavedriver company

well i am not in america so maybe things are different

in fact yes they give promotion in regards to i get to do all the work my boss is supposed to be doing but not pay more

japanese company very tight with finances

which is why now i want to get the actual job i'm filling in for

makes sense?

anyway can you give thoughts on my original question

Don't leave your employer until you're made an offer by another employer.

i think i am going call in sick from monday-wednesday

if i cannot get the new one by that time i just sign and keep trying to get a better one then when i do i can try to end the contract prematurely

just not renewing the contract is too big a risk u are sayin right

You may not realise this, but some employers discriminate against unemployed candidates- they will simply reject your CV if you're not currently employed.
