I remember Ironminds site had a complete video of this competition. It included some insane off the floor zercher lifts , olympic lifts and these hip lifts.  It was a vid of insane lifting for sure...

The real pain in that lift is around the kidneys and where the chains or strapping crosses the thighs.

That's a really fucking stupid lift.  However, there's no way in hell I could ever do that.  Dumb fuck or not, he's got some strong hip flexors.   Cheesy

damn, just read that link.  

i read about that lift when i was about twelve years old, and already infatuated by strength, cannot imagine how many people i told about that lift.
i thought the guiness book was more fact based than it obviously is. Huh
