How far will this get us?

In a nation that seems so divided the distance seems to increase each day.

The Repubs/conservatives call the Dems/liberals overspending-class warfare-big government, etc.

The Dems/liberals call the repubs/conservatives Outdated values-creationists-women haters, etc.

Just look at the divide on this board

I blame the extremists on both sides fueling the fire of this divide.

We should be concentrating on the things we do agree on and stop this obstructionist approach.

We cannot hate people because of their skin color, their status, their religion, their sexual orientation. The world is a Global one now and America will have to move on with acceptance.  Everyone of us is am immigrant here at one time or another.

Hell, I could go on for pages of the weakness's of each party.

I agree, although I'm not very optimistic that this will change at the federal level.  I think the real work and progress will probably come at the state and local level.  The people in DC really just need to get out of the way.

Our number one priorit is making obama a one term president-house GOP leadership 4 years ago.                   
While obama has been a moderate and just about every issue and drifted far to the right several times costing him political punts and angering his base, the GOP sticks to their guns and votes unanimously ahaianat everything

Both parties are the same, they just each put on their Halloween costumes every four years and proceed to see which group of retards they can scare into the booths at greater numbers.
