People need to stop having so many children if they can't afford them.  But the rich need the poor to do their dirty work and the poor aren't going to take the shitty low paying jobs because the elites ask nicely.  The rich rely on people being ignorant and uneducated because it provides for cheap labor and limits competition.  The rich don't want fair competition and decent wages, they just want to make as much money and have as much power as they can. Is that a bad thing?  Sometimes I wonder.

Low class citizen need to up their game because they are the ones demanding/wanting something. None of the upperest class is in need so they can delightfully ignore a renaissance by themselves which would most likely dampen their influence.
With a dying middle class the chance for change is less possible to happen than ever.

agreed. Any idiot I know who is "hurting" either had several kids out of wedlock, screwed around in school as a kid, has a BS major in women's studies or English, has unrealistic expectations about "standard of living," and/or otherwise made shit-poor decisions in life. Problem is everyone in the US these days wants to live like the rich guy. We have tons of idiot college students who move to expensive coastal cities after graduation expecting to find lucrative jobs only to be welcomed to the harsh reality that nobody gives a shit about their degrees. Then they get all pissed off and "occupy."
