the parents fault, if i went to school like that my father would of killed me, and i would of deserved it.
I have been seeing many losers in the last few years, My brother and sister are school teachers, so when i say blame the parents i mean it.

While I cant disagree with this I'll add that in general the older generations have disapproved of younger generations mostly due to dress, music and more liberal attitudes

"Your" correct, but being liberal is hollowed out and a farce now - it's an iphone ripoff in terms of political stances. There are Nazi skinheads out there who are as liberal as some non profit douches, because being liberal goes both ways.

My pops would have beat the shit out of me if I ever looked like that ...even 10 years after high school today. Emo didn't start getting popular until 2003 and on ...I used to know a few of these sorts early in college.
There were the ones that are just dressed like that for the attention and to have fun ....very gay but I somewhat understood it. There were the ones that looked liked that and thought they were intellectuals and "fuck Bush" types ...the worst.

Highschool has always been a microcosm of society. As far back as you can go there was always a class system or the rich kids, poor kids, jocks, good looking, ugly, geeks, goth etc... It hasn't changed.

Every generation believes the one after it is a bunch of punks.
Just like your grandparents thought your parents were going to hell for watching Elvis Presley's gyrating hips on that new box the kids called a "television".
Like the old saying goes: As I was, you are. As I am, you will be.
That said, "emo" bothers me as a father. But I'm sure it bothers dads today as much as me putting up a Motley Crue poster in my room bothered my dad (a bunch of girly looking men in make-up talking about the devil and screwing whores). Or worse yet, I'm sure he was far more bothered when his 15 year old son put the Dorian Yates poster up in his room. I wouldn't doubt he contemplated military school for his son.

This....nothing has changed. people are people I was in HS over two decades ago, and there were little faggy weird kids running around then too. Conveniently they could be stuffed into a locker with minimal effort

I did not mean "liberal" in the political sense of the word, not completely anyway. "Different" attitudes & values probably describes it better

Is Goth and Emo the same thing? I remember Goth people springing up around the time I got into middle school. They seemed like fucking pussies, yet a lot tougher than these fucking emos.
