Rights being stripped away and no one cares... Pretty depressing how apathetic our citizens have become.

In case you didn't know, Federal bank, is not federal, it's private. Hence false advertising ;)

it's just a name,

there are a hundred banks called "federal credit union" in every state. and they are just banks too. knowing or not knowing, doesn't make a bit of a difference on how they conduct business. you would think you uncovered the rosetta stone

Well you'd be surprised how many people are fooled by it. Hence they shouldn't have these sort of powers. Who the hell are they? A private corporation snooping in people's emails.

The Fed is a private bank.  The point is why do they want or need these new broad power?.  What purpose does it serve them?

The question is, why would the Federal Government grant a private company any kind of powers infringing on citizens right to privacy?

I care. However, I am only 1 person. America is too divided to do anything. Most people care more about their twinkies and their Xbox then about important issues.

Exactly why it's so depressing. The other half think that this is somehow going to make them safer.
People are idiots.

I know what I could potentially "fix" and that is what I advocate for. You really have to choose your battles. There are so many issues.

Jesus Christ, I'd hope by now majority of people understand that Central Banks, including the Federal Reserve are privately owned.

WAKE THE FUCK UP!

Who exactly owns the Federal reserve?

World Central Banks.
For some reason, we allow an independent bank to handle our money, including printing and loaning us our own money at interest! Makes no sense.

Please. The Fed is in effect a government agency. It was created by government. It's has a secured monopoly status by the government. It operates on behalf of the government (as well as their private member banks and other cronies). It's more correct to call it a hybrid institution. As Rothbard said, one can think of all government institutions as private--in a sense they are, they just have a different business model and organizational structure, and are imposed by the barrel of a gun, working in the guise of "the public interest."

So why does the Federal reserve have little to no oversight from the Federal Government then?
Hell, when they tried introduce a bill to audit the Fed, everyone freaked out.

Finally, something we can agree upon. I know I have nothing to worry about.

Its about a little something called principle.  The United States shouldn't be reading peoples emails based on principle.

Haven't tried masturbating on webcam. Is it more exciting when you are on camera than when you are not?
