Back when we didn't know anything about drugs (when we were young and just starting out in the 80s), one might even believe it to be an allergic reaction ie a response to wasp stings/blowfish!

i agree with you in general but still guys like dorian and nasser have some of the best genetics to build muscles and to respond to these drugs.. at least 90% of ppl cant achieve this size and shape even with the same drugs these guys were taking..

i agree with "drugs is the final touch"_ when we talk about pro. bbs because all of them can take the same drugs so what makes one better than the others is mainly his genetics and then his training,.. diet.. etc..

It is still a rediculous 'sport'.

A sport in which guys that are athletically inclined are actually at a disadvantage.
If you are 150 pounds you can blow up to 297 -- provided you take the right pharmaceuticals.
At the higher levels drugs are the 'final touch' except you can't even workout correctly and eat correctly if you don't have the right take the right drugs, sell your posing thong and dignity for drugs for drug connections and you must respond well to drugs.

So in the end it is 'all drugs'. All things come full circle and lead back to drugs.

There's no denying Dorian is getting crushed (yes, CRUSHED) in that pose.  However, He was a better bodybuilder...Not by much though.  If Nassole had detail in his back, he would have beat Yates in 96 and 97 but would have lost to a smaller but more complete Coleman in 98.

Towards the end the injuries took its toll, and that was Nasser's oppurtunity, Nasser only managed to hold together that freakish amount of mass for a short while, before he started falling apart too.

But Dorian won. I'm sure the team nasser archives contain evidence to the contrary, but no footage of nasser holding a sandow to be seen anywhere

It would be interesting to see dorian vs nasser in a pre gh and slin era. I believe it would go down to conditioning, and give it to yates

nasser as he was with his weak back deserved to beat dorian in 96 and 97.. if he had a good back "not necessary as great as ronnie's and dorian's"_ he would deserve to beat yates in 95 and of course ronnie in 98 who was not as good as yates in 93 or 95..

in other words if nasser's back was good he would have been mr. olympia at least 4 times 95-98.. with his "weak" imo he deserved to be 2 times mr. olympia, 96 and 97..

I don't like the shape of nassers muscles.
He is freakishly huge, but he reminds me a bit of markus Rhul.
Looks like he's filled with oil and water (whether he is or not) or site injecting too much. Definitely more of an "all drugs" physique. Looks like the marshmallow/michelin man.

actually nasser in  imo didnt play it right in 97.. he came in the show after sacrificing noticeable amount of his mass on a hope to have more details in his back but the result was a smaller version of him overall and the same back details.. he was much better the same year at the AC.. still i see him th6e winner of the olympia that year but not because he was at his best or close to it,.. it was because dorian was at his worst and didnt deserve to win with one whole arm deformed..

Nah... I was just saying that just because Nasser loses in the back double bi to Dorian, doesn't mean Dorian has the best back in the world. Nasser's back double bi was a weakpoint. His back lat spread was comparable to Dorian though.
