15 years after retiring Yates is still making the front cover of Flex Magazine. What does tell you about today's physiques?

not pretty at times but yates u could tell his workouts were brutal,diet was meticulous,drugs were in order and ran to a ttt ,,built through gym labor ,,not inject and play lightly ,diet half assed,,or make it up with synthol or whatever they pushed then,,

I agree seen this guy in April 0f 1994 at a guest posing and the following day training at the gym...was blown away at the density.

His condition was better in '95.  The only argument made for '93 is that he hadn't torn his biceps yet.  The torn biceps was apparent in the FDB, but the other 6 mandatories were completely on point.

well it was apparent in the RDB as well, and the mm (not mandatory then) which affects him in his posing routine since he seemed to hit it all the time even though it was his worst pose..

Better conditioned in 1995, but the torn bicep is the first thing you notice. Yates physique flowed better in 1993 with great conditioning also.

Everyone says he workouts were brutal but then I've heard he use to do bicep curls in the squat rack and would never squat :-\
