I shit my pants during class in 2nd grade.  I was not well liked after that happened.  It sucked.  All the cute girls were like fuck you shitty, I don't want to sit next to you.  It me took a while but I did what you have to do, I rebuilt.  Eventually I grew to be a pussy slaying ass kicker.  Envied and reviled by men, adored by women. 

Attack your catastrophe with gratitude and zest.  If the shit never hit the fan you would live your entire life soft and untested.

Finances can be rebuilt. You will get through it if you want to. On the list of bad things to happen to people that is far down the scale. Some people have a serious disability or disease they live with. Some people have lost a child, or raise a disabled child. Some people have serious mental problems or addictions. In the end, it's just money. Enjoy your health, get laid, have a drink, be happy.

I cannot honestly say anything that has happened to me was all the bad in reflection. I'll give you that some situations can seem like the end of the world while they are happening though. Keep in mind that we can survive pretty much anything that comes our way with the exception of death.
