This argument uses temperatures from the top of the Greenland ice sheet and the data ends in 1855, long before modern global warming began. It also reflects regional Greenland warming, not global warming.   This is incredibly stupid as a regional record cannot stand for a global record.

Well, it will have a direct effect on the economy, worldwide and especially in the United States, where we produce all of our food.  Do you really want to pay more for food?  As food prices increase due to poor weather conditions, everything else (all commodities) follow suit.  People are so far removed from how food is grown and produced that they fail to see the ravages of drought after drought which is only getting worse as predicted.  

If anything, since you have a child now, you should at least be concerned about the world they are going to inherit and live in.

Thats not the way Science works.  They certainly wouldn`t be out of jobs.  A Scientists job is to interpret the data, perform experiments, isolate variables and produce evidence based data and amend if needed.

Actually, I grew up and still live in a farming community. This one is doing fine. Texas had a drought last year when I lived there, but other than that, I haven't really heard of many farming communities complaining of drought after drought. Then again, I could be wrong.

As far as my son is concerned, yes I am concerned for the world he's going to inherit, but I'm more concerned with giving him the tools to survive in the world than I am about the highly insignificant impact I could have on "climate change". I'll leave that up to the people with a bunch of letters after their names, they can argue about it all they want. I can't bring myself to care.
