Frank is my all time favorite vocalist, male or female.

Frank is "The Voice".

Have a musician friend, with the ear, and he stands by Mel Torme and Frank. Especially, Frank.

Bay likey "The Very Good Years."  This is what I mean when I say "quality never gets old."  You never hear music like this any more.  Maybe you have to be above a certain age to appreciate it, but damn it is good!  8)  His peers loved him to death.  Dude has 3 Oscars!  How many people can say that?  One for acting and two honorary. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000069/awards?ref_=nm_awd

They love using his songs in soundtracks.  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000069/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Dr. Chimps, what is your favorite Sinatra song?

Good question. Probably, 'Come Fly with Me' because it evokes a boozy, loosey-goosey, Rat-Pack Vegas vibe.

For me, it's My Way!  It's not just a song... it's an anthem! 8)

And now, the end is here
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and ev'ry highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way,
"Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way"

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!

^Signature tune. Classic. On the downside, it now seems to be the go-to tune I hear at (more frequently occurring) funeral observances these days.  :-\

My favorite Frank song is "It was a very good year" Similar to Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt, I can see Frank thinking about his life and all the memories as he sings it.. realizing he is in the autumn of his life and those days are memories.

I actually like this song as well...its not my favorite but I love to kick back under dark lights with a nice bottle of booze and just listen....its really jazzy and you hit it on the head likening it to a very nice rat pack vibe ;)

There was a story that Frank had somehow crossed somebody in the Mob and the mobster was thinking of offing Frank.....but it never happened...supposedly said mobster was asked by another mobster why he didn't go through with the hit and he answered "I love it when he sings 'my way'.." :D

It's the only Sinatra song I've downloaded to iTunes!
