if she indeed owns a marina -  she will get a huge FEMA check 3-4 months after the storm.   After Charlie, they issued $5k checks for trailers that weren't worth $1500.  I dunno what she'll get for a marina, but by valentines day she will probably be taking that $check and retiring.

she seems to think the POTUS was going to show up with a bag of cash and a construction crew in a matter of days

people were still without power 2 weeks after the storm so there are some priorities to consider in the aftermath of a disaster like this but I'm sure that's well beyond the comprehension of a Republican crybaby

Off topic, but does anyone know what your SOP is for getting hit with something like this?  I mean, if this marina is her only source of income, and an overwhelmed insurance company does not pay her in time, what does she do about her mortgage etc?

I've been thru Charley, Andrew, and a few other big storms that demolished or beat up our trailer park at the time.

FEMA money comes in probably 2 months.  Faster if you file immediatley, but it can take longer.

Everyone in that damn trailer park got AT LEAST $5k... and some with nicer places just bought a house with the $.
