No ground game, he'd be like a fish out of water in a street fight
I love BJJ. I trained at Serra BJJ when I had a year off between finishing a project. My friend teaches there and is very very good on the ground. I really respect that art its so amazing how technical it is.
HOWEVER, I am sorry to say this, but half of the guys who spend their lives on the ground do not know there is something called a right cross, left hook, overhand right, or let alone a jab. There is a difference between BJJ and being an elite fighter who has his main backround in BJJ. Like Nogueria, Mir, Serra, Penn, Wanderlei, etc.
Remember how many guys would come into their first fight and get demolioshed? Then like Werdum they learned standup and did well.
Streetfights are not going to be in an octogan like UFC or ring like Pride. No -no strike- rule like ADCC or the other top BJJ competitions. You know?
Different outcome in almost every account. MMA, fight the guys 10 times 9 out of 10 to the better fighter. Put them in a parking lot and say kill each other...would you honestly bet all your money on someone because his BJJ skill?
