Gun Trusts???
« on: December 03, 2012, 06:27:38 PM »
Anybody have one?

Any experience with them?

I was thinking about having one created with me, my dad and brother as trustees for my dads Christmas present that way he could modify some rifles to short barrel rifles and maybe get a silencer for his Uzi.

Any thoughts on them?

Pros/Cons?

I had to google this, I had no idea.  I thought the only way you could own such guns was to have a FFL.

So with a gun trust, I could own and shoot a full auto Thompson Machine Gun like I've always wanted?

???

No idea about this although I am curious what possible use anyone could have for a silenced Uzi.

Theoritically I believe so, one of my business law professors was a big gun nut and spoke about his gun trust. Said he had a full auto MP5 so I would assume you can. I also believe you can buy explosives like grenades etc...

Not to sure though, I am still getting my feet wet on whats allowed and the liabilities you take on when you create one and become a trustee.

All three... well, ok, maybe not all three, but the last one is a-ok with me. But it was actually a serious question: I just personally don't see much point in owning a silenced Uzi but to each their own. I was curious what the take of someone who wants one was.

Not sure why a silencer is required for that, unless you are a considerate neighbor and don't want to wake your neighbors up with your after-hours people-shooting.

I personally dont see the point in smoking but as long as youre not blowing it in my face Im ok with it.

I just think it would be pretty cool to have. If I do have one created I will probably buy a pistol that allows a silencer to be attached. I think HK makes one that is used by special ops that allows you to shoot the gun without have the slide chamber another round in order to make it extra quite.

Seems pretty damn cool to me.

And that's a fine enough reason. As I said, I was curious as to why someone would want a silenced Uzi. To me it seems like buying a 1000cc motorbike that redlines at 15,000 and then adding baffles in the exhaust to quiet it down, or rigging the engine to not go above 6,000 rpm.

hahah well the Uzi is actually pretty damn quite to begin with so it would probably be like shooting a .22 or BB gun with a silencer I would imagine.

Just something different that you dont see everyday

Screw that liberal guilt ridden white commie rat.

he had no business using the airtime for a political agenda.

if he wants to be a gun-grabbing liberal, he should run for gov of mass then later win the GOP nomination.

feel free to bump if you think it was such an embarrassment but try to  keep in mind your past history of being completely clueless about almost everything including consensus reality
