The decline in Milwaukee Best Light must have to do with the rising academic standards of colleges. When I was in school, 00-05, That is all we would get for parties. 40 cases twice a week. It actually coincides with the years and when they raised the entrance requirements at my specific university.

I had a buddy of mine who got fired from his supermarket job rather quickly after he got caught loading pallets of beer onto pick up tricks out the back door. Needless to say it was good while it lasted!  |

Like any other genre of drinks, you have beers that have moved up the list and beers that are way down. Same with soda's, tea's, and other beverages.
Budweiders moves a lot because they have deals with stadium's, concert venues, and huge venues where you only have one or two choices. The rise of the microbrewers have made choices for all of us. As for light beer, well.. less calories makes people think less beer belly.
